My name is Lindsay, and I’m off on an adventure to turn a side gig into something much more—something sustainable, successful, and, most importantly, something that’s all mine.

Why Side Hustle & Beyond?

Let me take you back a bit. Once upon a time, I was a stay-at-home mom and housewife, with a burning desire to create financial freedom. Unfortunately, every time I tried to make that happen, it led to World War III in my house. But those days are behind me. I’m now divorced (and remarried to someone MUCH more supportive) and have somehow managed to claw my way up the corporate ladder—without a degree, work experience, or a manual to follow.

Despite all that, I’ve always felt that trading my time for money was never the best deal. I’ve always wanted more—more freedom, more control, and, okay, maybe a little more coffee. So here I am, determined to create the life I’ve always dreamed of, and I’m confident that I can do it.

Side Hustle & Beyond is where I’ll be sharing this journey. I’m confident in my ability to succeed, but let’s be honest—I sometimes doubt whether others will take me seriously… and whether I can even take myself seriously. After all, the internet is full of people claiming they’ve found the secret to success. But I’m not here to sell you a fantasy; I’m here to document the real, gritty, and sometimes messy process of building something from the ground up.

What You Can Expect from This Blog

To be upfront, I’m starting from zero. I’ve spent years researching side hustles, only to find one scam after another. I’m not interested in selling snake oil—I’m interested in finding what actually works, and I’m going to approach this like the business it is.

Here’s what you can expect from Side Hustle & Beyond:

• How to Start from 0: I’ll share my own experiences of starting from scratch, with practical advice and insights on how you can do the same. (Technically, at this point, I’m about $150 in the hole, between setting up this blog, an email address, etc. But more on that later.)

• Platform Reviews: I’ll be diving into various online schemes, breaking down what works, what doesn’t, and what’s just a fancy way to drain your wallet.

• Realistic Income Expectations: Let’s get real—side hustles are still work. I’ll be upfront about what you can realistically expect to earn, so you don’t end up chasing false promises.

• Curated Content: I’ll sift through the noise to bring you content that’s actually worth your time, helping you avoid the countless distractions and scams out there.

This blog is for anyone who’s ready to take control of their career and finances. Whether you’re looking to escape the rat race or design your own path within it, you’re in the right place. I know what it’s like to start with no money and no clear roadmap, and I’m here to show you that it’s possible to build something real, even when you’re starting from zero.

Why My Journey Matters

I’m not claiming to have all the answers, but I do have the determination to make this work. What makes my journey different? I’m not just talking the talk—I’m walking the walk. I’m putting myself out there, taking the risks, and being honest about the challenges along the way. I’m confident I can do this, even if I sometimes wonder how long it will actually take.

My Vision for the Future

In a year or two, I see this side hustle turning into a bona fide income stream. Will it be enough to quit my day job? Maybe not quite yet. But it will definitely be enough to prove to myself (and maybe to others) that this journey was worth it.
